I saw this picture and wanted to draw it using coloured and graphite pencils only. I like using an embossing tool to keep the White paper and then draw over using the edge of the pencil to reveal the line. I then go back in and colour between the embossing to add shadow or colour. The embossing also adds a 3 D texture which can be seen when you look closely. The tooth of the paper helps to add texture and pencil is great to blend with fingers or a blending pencil. I also like the way you can layer with different colours to create new colours.
