Just sat down after day out and saw this now I really want that cheese, biscuits and wine. What a great painting.

Beautiful stilllife, Craig, very well painted.

Smashing shapes, colours, marks and impression Craig. Just a bit concerned about the left of the glass which has a rectangular shape rather than a circular shape.

Thanks Derek for your comments, can't see it myself. Perhaps you mean the top side of the glass where it blends into darkness? Zoom in and you should be able to make it out more clearly. Thanks again Craig

I like the approach and loose painting manner. Cheese, crackers and glass have good texture and are fine in terms of recognisable objects...background is a mess because its ill-defined and spoils the main focus of the painting. Tonally neutral and even would avoid visual confusion. Apart from that...keep at it.

That top left of the glass with regulat shapes is the prob for me Craig, but don't worry it could be in the photo and you have the real thing. It is an outstanding piece.
