This painting is a proportionally accurate depiction of the model in the source photograph I used. I believe I have been accused of using &#39;girlie mags&#39; for source material, ( not true ) so I do try to represent other types too, to engender equity ! I&#39;m not actually sure why you would want to depict the female form in this manner, and your titles are somewhat dubious also, perhaps a change of bedtime reading material is called for.

I think this raises an interesting question about when art is art, and when it&#39;s in poor taste and offensive... Artists have been painting nude women for centuries, but for some reason, I find paintings like this rather offensive. I&#39;m not quite sure why, though... If art is meant to provoke a reaction and create strong feelings in the viewer, then this is a successful painting.

Three comments from women. We all find this offensive , does it not tell you something Michael ? I am sure you happily do these for the reactions you are getting from myself , Janet and Jan. <br />None of us find nude women or men offensive when depicted sensitively but these for me are school boy imaginings and giggling little lads under desks. <br />

Sylvia, this painting has had over 200 views, of which I conclude, about half have been female. Just three negative comments, do not even begin to substantiate an alethic conclusion, that all women would be offended by it ! To offend, is never my intention, and my titles are merely to add a humorous element. This website would perhaps benefit, from a bit more humour and a bit less dogma !
