18" x 14" Oil painting on canvas board. I painted this from a photograph I was privileged enough to take image of a baby gorilla, whilst on a tracking safari in the Virunga region of Rwanda. After a hike to over 10,000 feet, to eventually find the habituated mountain Gorillas, now beginning to thrive again after the fantastic work the conservationists are doing, was such an emotional thrill, and a moment we will never forget. Had so much fun painting this, and am happy with how it came out.
