Excellent work Clare - love the bike! Nice recession too

hi wow this is really good xx

Fab tones in the distance.

Great subject and treatment Clare, but the front wheel needs anchoring to earth

I also meant to say, if it's up on steadies or whatever, that could be shown.

Really nice painting Clare.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. And also helpful hints. Derek Snowdon - I have since anchored the front wheel as you suggested. It's strange that one notices these things after photographing the painting. I think you can get too close to it whilst painting - but once I stood back and looked at the painting the space under the tyre showed up so obviously! I should re-photo the corrected picture I think. The bike was on a side stand, which was hidden by the back wheel - but I can see where you're coming from. I'm really pleased so many people like this painting as it holds very fond memories for me, of a wonderful month touring Italy last year.
