Sold. Gosh, thankyou for all your super comments. The above watercolour is now owned by a super lady from Kew, so it is in safe hands. It is also large, about 45 by 70cm. I particularly looked to divide the composition into three to get the desired effects. This is what I call a 'Sunday Morning' painting. I had painted one on site, but was not overly happy with it, The following Sunday, I turned the Archers on, everyone was out, kitchen table free and spread my paints, water and brushes out and off to work I went, flooding the whole page with water and colour in the first instance. I then gradually worked areas and think I only did a little touching up the next day. If only all paintings 'happened' like that.
