This is very good Christoper, like the complete dark on one side with your face on the other, like your tachnique for drawing you moustache as well interesting rendition, lovely shadows and very good how you have handled your glasses and eyes as well, very very good work, just out of interest how long did it take you?

Thanks so much for all your kind comments Ros. To answer your question it took about an hour and a quarter at a drawing class. It was drawn from a photograph taken under very contrasty lighting and then pinned on a board upside down and drawn that way. (no turning it up until you think it's complete) That way you are only concerned with blocks of dark areas and their relationship to each other. I heartily recommend trying this. Have a look at a book called 'Drawing on the right side of the Brain' by Betty Edwards. It's excellent if drawing is your thing. C
