Well done Chris, I like this a lot

Many thanks Heather for your valued comments.

Great result Chris! Love the sky and the cast light on the hill in front of the wood, it adds a good variation. What do you think of oils? Have you tried the water mixable oils, they don’t take so long as traditional oils to dry, I believe.

Thankyou very much Fiona much appreciated. This was painted with water soluble oils the drying period still seems quite long.I think a little patience is required.

I didn’t know that Chris, thought they would dry quicker.

Thankyou Fiona, I think you are right water based oils do dry quicker than traditional oils but not super quick.

Chris...I find that the time it takes to dry ...is time to reflect on what does or doesn't work...with the option to add, remove or change until happy with our endeavours Love the variation in greens..

Many thanks John for your comments, much appreciated.

Oil painting of a scene near my home.I have now added some sheep and a fence and a few other odds and ends, I now have to wait for ages for it to dry, this is the down side to oils.
