Gorgeous Chris! Lovely sunlight, reflections and bluebells.

Thankyou very much Fiona for your valued comment.I like to paint a bluebell scene at this time of year, but Ineed to do a photography course because I feel my photos are not doing justice to my paintings. ,but I guess other artists have this problem.

If anyone can offer tips on photographing paintings your help would be much appreciated, thankyou,

Hi Chris, I’m sure there is a thread on the forum that gives excellent advice on how to photograph paintings. There may also be some info on a blog by John Humber about the same subject, step by step. I can only tell you how I photograph my own. I use my iPad to take the picture and I try and take it outside, without the sun on it......which isn’t difficult in Scotland! If a wet day I lay it on a windowsill which isn’t I direct sunlight. I get as close as I can, in the frame and click. Hope this helps, I’m sure, if you can find the above info it will be much better advice than mine. If you have any problem finding the info, let me know and I’ll have a look for you.

Hello Fiona, you are very kind, thankyou so much for the information about photographing paintings , I will follow this up.Thanks once again.

You’re welcome Chris. Did you find the forum thread?

Thanks Fiona I have found lots of information now , so I think it is a matter of practice and experimenting with the settings on my camera and using the correct light, Thanks once again.
