I think you have had a good stab at this complicated scene Chris. The middle ground houses and trees work well. The background hill and trees are quite strongly painted, with hard edges. Try painting far off hills etc. while the sky wash is still damp to get a soft edge, which will make it seem farther away. You can also soften the edges with a damp brush after they are dry. Hope you don't mind these comments by the way.
