Four experimental plein-air landscapes, each 2 x 3 inches. Three use only colour-mixes based on the complementary of their surround colour - green is used in the red section, violet in the yellow, orange in the blue and orthodox colours against the black. The central division is angled instead of perpendicular as the brain expects. The landscapes are similarly placed unintuitively within sloping parallelograms instead of rectangles. Water-mixable oils with acrylic surrounds on 12 x 16 inch canvas panel.
