Algarve Lighthouse

It is what I would cruelly call a beginner's sky - but that is being cruel, because actually it works fine: it's a very striking painting, congratulations. There are cloud/atmospheric conditions that give you something like these striations, but I agree with you it's better to avoid them on the whole.... it's hard to make them look convincing. Still, the great thing is that you've moved on, and this was a very, very promising beginning.
