You've caught the silkiness of the smooth coat perfectly in this Chris. My brother has had three Weimaraners and I've attempted to paint two of them, not an easy task! I found it hard to capture the true colour of their coats as they seemed to change according to the light with grey and even a touch of lilac, or maybe I just needed new glasses LOL. A lovely portrait of a beautiful, if, in my experience, untrainable, dog.( My brothers latest is called Dyson, as it came from the same strain as the first two he knew it would hoover everything up, edible and non edible, in sight)

This is a superb portrait, Chris, no sign of struggle that I can see! You've captured the lovely, regal form of the Weimariner beautifully and the eyes are so well done - solemn yet sprightly. Fa!

Sorry, I meant Fab!

really beautifully captured, you have a lot of skill using pastels :-)

Having had a Weimaraner in the past, I can vouch for the fact that you have got the silkiness of the coat off to a T. Lovely gentle expression on Bailey's face and just a super portrait all round.

Love Val's words above and this is lovely rendition of a lovely breed

Painted on velour paper. 10" x 14". Struggled with this one a bit due to the smooth shiney coat on this Brown Weimaraner which belongs to my neighbour.
