This is a large painting on gallery wrapped canvas. Peacocks fascinate me and this one took a fairly long time. I used Liquitex Acrylics with some Dayler Rowney interference colours to get the sheen on some of the feathers. It was a challenge and a painting which I really enjoyed doing. I had been observing close up peacocks in a friend's garden and making lots of sketches, picking up the odd feather and examining it's beauty. I look forward to your comments.
