Good effort Cesare. My last watercolour portrait was painted with a Chinese brush. I use them all the time in watercolour painting. I got to grips with them painting on rice paper first and learning some basic Chinese brushwork. I highly recommend it to gain control and grow confidence to get the best out of the brush.

Thank you Denise for your comment and informations.

Che pecato reguardo Le occhie Cesare. E possibile di abbassare i capelli e dipingere ancora le occhie? Come un sperimento?

Che pecato reguarda gli occhie - corretto?

Eyes too high - watercolour is merciless, there’s no room for error. But I like the look of this despite the eyes position.

Thank you Marjorie and Brett. Marjorie, just as says Brett, there is no room for error. I will post tomorrow another portrait.

Hi Marjorie: che peccato riguardo agli occhi!

I made this portrait for testing Chinese brushes. It is done on inexpensive paper without drawing. I know I made a mistake and I painted the eyes too high, but it is only for exercise
