It's turned out really well Cesare. I used oils when I first started painting and I loved it, but it too far to long to dry.

Your oils are as good Cesare. An all-rounder.

Nice and bold Cesare. I like the use of blue in the portrait.

Many thanks Adele, Michael and Sarah for your kind comments much appreciated. Hi Adele, I paint rarely with oils for the same reason, although this allows you to correct and overwork the painting.

It's very good Cesare, I like it very much.

You get realistic features Cesare whichever medium you use. Great colours too.

I like the lighting on his face and the use of blue Cesare.

Many thanks Fiona, Gudrun, Carole, Dennis and Frank for your kind comments much appreciated.

I really like your oils, Cesare. There;s so much personality in this portrait, and the bold, vibrant brushwork is super.

Many thanks Seok for your generous comment much appreciated.

Lovely portrait Cesare, lovely colours

Lovely work, Cesare! You've made me want to get my water solubles out.

Water-soluble oil with brush and palette knife on Canson canvas paper 30 x 42 cm. This is my attempt at an oil portrait I made a while ago in watercolour.
