Beautiful, Cesare. I’m intrigued about the surface you’ve painted it on!

Thank you, Ellen. I was walking in a BricoCenter and when I saw a pile of white styrofoam sheets I had the idea of buy one sheet and painting it with acrylics. I set up the sheet with transparent gesso and when it dried I started to add acrylic colours with palette knife and brush. The size of styrofoam inspired me for a waterlilies pond. When the painting was well dried I covered it with two layers of shiny varnish. I devoted the whole afternoon to paint ed enjoyed very much.

This must look amazing in the flesh. Love the simplicity, palette and composition Cesare. The process of painting this sounds intriguing and what a good use of styrofoam.

Thank you Carole for your kind comment.

A dramatic piece of art, Cesare - very creative and original!

Looks super, Cesare and sounds like great fun to paint!

I love this - at my art group one gentleman uses a type of roof felt with pastels to great effect - it’s great to use different surfaces

Thank you Jan, Thalia, and Rachel for your kind comments.

This sounds intriguing Cesare and such a good result, very creative.

Thanks so much, Fiona.
