This is so beautifully done, so precise, the highlights and colour are gorgeous. He looks so real.

This is just superb ... it might help that I find these creatures beautiful and fascinating, but your painting is fantastic - I'd be highly impressed by it even if I weren't drawn to the animal. I like everything about this including the title, the colour, the translucent skin, the little white highlight on the nostril, the totally believable eye, the delicate feet and their reddish borders... I don't see how this could be any better - you could, and should, illustrate botanical work.

Everything that Robert says and more. tha translucent skin with the sheen of moisture is incredible.

Lovely lovely painting.

Fabulous painting, I just love your use of vibrant colour.

Gorgeous pastel work. The frog looks positively slimy! Excellent.

Thank you!!!! This frog is one of my own- I have 5 that I can take out of their tank and do photo shoots, on flowers or pot plants etc. They are very accomodating! I have a soft spot for frogs- I love painting AND keeping them! Thanks again for your great comments.

Stunning. Incredible. Bravo!!

Amazing, so real.....I was waiting it to jump away from my screen!!!!

I'd like to meet your frogs! (A new twist on "come and see my etchings"...)

This is just super, brilliant painting.

Wow! Your work certainly grabs attention. Amazing colours and detail - you certainly know how to get the most out of pastels. Love to see your work all together in an exhibition, I'm sure you'll soon be in demand.

Congratulations on being chosen picture of the month.

I nearly skipped this as I thought it was a photo. On enlarging it I can see the pastel marks on the legs and the flower which turn it from a slick image into a work of art..well done.

And I thought it was a photo.lol, wrong. An unusual subject too.Awesome .
