Don’t be so hard on yourself Carolyn. I think the reflections in the water are great, as well as the soft coloured background foliage. The figure and boat are also well painted. It might have been easier for you to include a little sky at the top of the painting to relieve the painting from appearing in 2 halves but that’s only my humble opinion so don’t take too much notice of what I think.
