Feeding time by Carolyn Parkinson

Nicely sketched in pastel Carolyn, these calves look ready to 'their 'feeding time' and well positioned, as they peer out over the straw pen, its forming well and the textures look great!

The way you have painted the straw is wonderful and the docile expressions of the cows are spot on. Iusually use pastelmat for pastels. I also use sennelier card but you have to be careful not to allow it to get it wet or the surface comes off and it does eat up the pastels. However, ruesults are great Carolyn.

Well painted Carolyn, I've used hahnemiule pastel fix and also tried some of the mixed media pads that you can get. 😀

Thank you Angela, Carole, Linda and Carole for your supportive comments and advice. Carole I may have to give pastelmat a try. Linda I never thought about mixed media paper. I have some so may give it a go.
