Another cracker Carolyn.

Another amazing painting Carolyn. You have been busy.

Carole it is nice at last to have some time to be creative. I've missed it !

Excellent Carolyn, think I'll try graphite powder, it's a nice effect

Thank you Russell. I think it makes the skin look smoother.

Three good posts, Carolyn. This one especially appeals. Tremendous joy in that young face. (Graphite powder? Never heard of it...something else to look up. Great subtle shading here.)

Another great drawing, the eyes have it for me!

Thank you Lewis. You can buy ready made powder but being a cheapskate I took some old pencils 2b 4b etc and rubbed them on sandpaper. I caught the powder in little tubs and apply it to a drawing with a paintbrush. I also use a plain old kitchen roll over the graphite to blend it before and after drawing. Enjoy.

You’ve captured a gorgeous engaging smile. Another great portrait!

Thank you so much Christine. Having seen your portrait work I consider that a real compliment.
