Carole I love the way you have used the landscape canvas in portrait mode to capture this image. It is a small window on what looks to be a perfect place to relax and paint. Great work and and fantastic gallery.

Thank you Gary. It is interesting to paint in different formats. So often, my students paint on a landscape sheet of paper/canvas simply because it's the shape they bought rather than masking it off and being more adventurous.

My first visit to the Scilly Isles in October 2008 made a huge impression on me. I managed to get to all of the islands and explore and paint every day and the weather was very kind.
