I do like your work, Carole...your style is free and bold, and the colours you use are amazing. Such large landscapes I could never cope with, you achieve a great sense of atmosphere in them.

Beautiful strong painting, very vibrant. I thought when I saw it in the gallery that it was poppies against an Andulcian sky, and was interested to see that it was the South Downs.

Thank you all for your positive comments. I enjoy bringing out colour and the foreground in the painting was actually a ploughed field... I love a bit of artistic license!!

I've just found your porfolio. The work here is very good and I love your use of colour and texture. Your way of painting and preparation are similar to mine, I like the way you make a 'simple' subject come to life and your love of the South Downs cetainly shines through in these excellent pieces of work.
