Again Carole your use of colours and beautiful and such an interesting image. I realise for copyright reasons you have to have the banner, but it seems a shame on such a lively image, I bet it is even more impressive in the flesh as it were. Good for you, and I love collage myself so it was a treat to look at these two jolly images.

Thanks Angela.... sorry about the banner, always struggling for time to do copies without it! Apologies for that.

I normally dislike pictures incorporating collage, but it contributes to the overall image here and isn't being used as a technique as it were for the sake of it ... If that makes any sense at all; it won't to dedicated collagists. A lively painting.

Thanks Robert. I think collage, especially newsprint, incorporated in a painting adds texture and keeps the viewer interested and seeing different things. Have a lovely Christmas.

I love this. I do the occasional collage and I find that it loosens me up because I am no longer worried about all the rules, whether the composition works, whether the colours are right, whether the image is accurate, etc. I just have fun slapping about and believe it or not, as you adjust your painting to what it needs and enjoy the juxtapositioning of colours that seem 'right' - all these things I just mentioned just come about naturally, by themselves, and leave a livliness that shows you've had fun doing it. I see this here. It's lovely. The colours work, the subject is interesting and it works!! Glad you had the courage to go for it. I have enjoyed looking at it.
