Plumpton Bostal by Carlina Oliver
This glorious view across the Sussex Weald from the South Downs seemed, as I was painting it, to comprise an endless variety of greens, so that the title in my head as I worked was 'Fifty Shades of Green'. However, now that I have finished it, especially with the addition of the rather pink-toned track, the greens do not seem to predominate so much , so it is simply entitled 'Plumpton Bostal', after the (very!) steep old track leading up to the top of the hill (well worth the slog).
