Really striking portrait - love the 'caught out' and wary look on the foxes face. P.S.Re the title - do I detect a fan of Snow Patrol here? I love the group and in fact my iPhone ringtone is one of their songs. I suppose at my age I should know better lol!

I agree certainly a striking portrait and beautiful look upon the fox face and wonderful cold yet warm contrast of colour.

Thea - I'm sad to say I wouldn't recognise a Snow Patrol number if I heard it........Yes, I've heard OF them which is probably what put me in mind of the title for the painting, but it seemed apt for this fox which was clearly sniffing around for something to get his teeth into.

The inspiration for this painting came when, out for a walk in the snow and standing still to admire the scenery, a fox came into view. I don't know which of us was the more surprised!
