Thanks all, you are very encouraging. Derek, it is mostly brushwork but I did some touches with the knife at the end. The paint was getting very stiff with the cold air.

Oil on canvas board 16x12". Most winters it doesn't really get cold enough for snow in this part of Ireland so its pretty exciting when we get a little. This was done 'en plein air' about 9.30am (at least it was outside my front door, not too far from the coffee pot!) Snow was mostly melted by 11.
