Some working ideas for the oil painting,"Still Waters", which may be of interest to artists on here. I wanted to create a more atmospheric painting that reminded me of visiting Keswick in the Lake district. The first photo is the reference photo, followed by a colour study created using the Procreate app on my Ipad, then the finished 12"x16" larger study. I always like to see studio shots and works in progress as well as the finished paintings.
