I love your painting of the pink sea thrift it makes me feel as though am there myself real nice feeling. A whole lot better than my Heskin Hall painting. could you help me with painting sea waves as ive tried many times before but failed miserably. Thank you for any feed back

Painting the sea has always been the most difficult challenge of mine. I continually strive to conquer the sea and in my quest have realised one very important point - the sea is fluid and in order for me to paint it I must be too. So when painting water of any kind I usually apply the paint in layers continually tipping and tilting the canvas letting the colours run into each other, just as it would in nature. Hope this helps you...

Lovely Bridget. I also enjoy painting harmonious, simple seascapes. The foreground grasses/flowers are really effective.

This is lovely Bridget, especially the foreground detail.

After a recent trip to the Isles of Scilly in Cornwall I painted this simply scene of soft pink Sea Thrift which was in abundance along the beautiful coast line. Mediums and materials: acrylics and acrylic inks on canvas. Size 40x40cm
