That's a fabulously deep blue you have in the sky - it sets the tone for the whole painting and makes the colours vibrate.

Late in the Summer season the day ends slowly as the sun sets behind our local hills the Mendips. These colours were so magical at this time of day and every minute the sky and light reflecting on the land were changing to create a wonderful setting. Painted on Saunders Waterford Rough 100% Cotton Mould Made Acid Free Watercolour Paper using Acrylic Inks and Watercolour size: 74cm x 95cm
