Thanks for these comments; you really do get that close to the gannets at Bempton, the gannets nest on the cliffs and use the up draft. As you walk on the cliff edge path there are places where you can be very close to these these huge birds.

Watercolour, after several visits I used photo's and sketches to create this view looking south towards Flamborough. Its is actualy painted for my cousin who lives in Florida as a memento of East Yorkshire.
