Lovely delicate work, "cling film" not heard of this use before, but I don't normally do this type of loose work. Have also looked at your portfolio stunning acrylic work.

This is very nice, I like the hint of highlight for the glass vase.

A lovely watercolour Brian, I love the difused background.

Yellow shadows - yes; well they say the best way to paint shadows on yellow is to use the complementary violet: they SAY that - I've yet to be convinced. Is this what you did here? Or maybe use a deeper yellow, which is probably easier .... (I've got to go and try it now!) It's worked, anyway; there is, as Peter says, some stunning work in your gallery.

Thank you for your encouraging comments. When you have completed a wash of watercolour you stretch cling flim over it before it has dried. You crease the clingfilm wherever you wish and leave it to dry completely. It produces an interesting effect. I used a greenish grey for the shadows. Using a deeper yellow doesn't look right to me, but I do think yellow shadow is difficult and controversial. The same applies to red. I suppose that is why we keep trying.

Very successful experiment Brian, love these daffodils

Yellow shadows are always difficult. I'm pleased you like it Ros.

An experiment with clingfilm and yellow shadows, which I find difficult.
