Brian, I'm going to do something I never do on here, which is to try and give advice. Essentially this has the making of a good painting, the light and shadows are great. You're a caretaker, which means you must be a sensible chap, don't leave this behind when you paint. One example, both sides of the the back of the main boat must be at the same level as they are the same piece of wood. See what you think.

A lovely, crisp watercolour Brian, good shadows too.

Good work Brian, good feeling of depth. I wonder whether the long shadow of foreground boat leads the eye out of the picture. I remember beinng told not to have anything pointing into the corners of a picture.
