This is a painting that I did for my fiancé. He was a national chess player and is an avid player to this day which is why I decided to make chess the forefront of the image. He is the King ready to conquer the world with intelligence and honesty. The white square that he stands on represents purity and kindness. He is a natural leader, who has the support and protection of those close to him (which the elephant represents). Whether the sun is rising or setting is up to the viewer. I would not be the doctor that I am today without him.
