You might have needed rather pricier coloured pencils to get the sunflower right, but I don't think it matters - the bird is the subject, and he's great: deserving of better paper!

Despite your misgivings it was the wonderful sunflower that prompted me to comment. I love its vigour and abstract shape

You've captured such a great pose either way this bird. It is beautifully rendered. I agree with Martin about the abstract quality of the sunflower which glows with interest. Doesn't need to be a sunflower. Wonderful drawing.
