I find watercolours very difficult as they are so unpredictable. I’m no judge in this medium but I do like the very proud expression you have captured. Perhaps you could have varied the length of the foreground grasses for interest.

A quick exercise in Watercolour using wet in wet washes. This took me about an hour to complete. It may have errors but that could be because I was rushing like anything to get it done that day.
