Drifting Dinghy off Mumbles

A very rough sea reminds me of my navy days.....Another one of your master pieces.

Lovely Bill but somehow rather sad.

Fantastic sky - really threatening. The painting makes you wonder what the story is behind the drifting boat. Great atmosphere - another of you wonderful nautical paintings.

A change of mood from your usual calm waters. I like this one for its great movement.

I remember many a sky like that on my visits to Swansea LOL Dark and brooding but with the glimpse of brighter skies after the storm. Also, a story perhaps behind the drifting dinghy. A good painting for the imagination to grab, well done.

Hi Bill, what a lovely piece of work this is,...i don't think sad is the word fot it, but agree with your own description,..it sums it up very well indeed, but it also has a "haunting" quality to it, as someone once said to me, we all see diferent things in a painting, when looking at it, if you can make the viewer see of feel, what it means to them,..then as far as im concerend,.....thats what makes a painting special, i just love this one, for me too, it has that sense, of somehow being adrift in life,..."alone" yet still managing to stay afloat.! good grief,..lol,..where did that all come from...lol, ooops ive gone all poetic...lol. superb as usual.
