I'm fascinated by this technique Brenda, I was watching a lady doing this yesterday at a craft market. Do you dye your own wool? It's very good for a first attempt, well done.

I'm interested in textiles too Brenda. I only got as far as buying a book on felting - story of my life! This is really nice - love the colours.

Thanks Fiona, I enjoy felting but it's difficult fitting it in with everything else I like to do . I didn't dye the wool myself as it's easy to buy different colours - I have met people who use natural dyes for their work though

I fancy having a go at it but as you say, it's fitting it in...lol I understand you use a barbed needle, what kind of backing do you use...hessian? I suppose I could google it and get a starter pack or something? Thank you for your response.

hello again Fiona. You work on a background of felt or you can use an old woollen jumper that has been washed in hot water and felted together
