Ammonite painting
This series of paintings came about after I had drawn the ammonites. To form the 'nest' of these fossils I initially used fabric transfer crayons to make a tracing from the 3D objects and then ironed of the transfer tracing, then I painted over the images with watercolour paints the white highlights were added last, some of the fine drawing work I carried out with a mapping pen.
