Great pencil sketch, Bari - very atmospheric...

Good sketching Barri. Pensford is a small Somerset ex mining village some 5 miles south of Bristol. The Somerset coal fields steam train ran over the viaduct as far as Radstock up until the 1960's. Pensford was the home and birthplace of Acker Bilk the clarinettist. There used to be a very small pub just this side of the church where at a very tender age I sometimes played the piano. Acker played in a larger pub in the village.

Thanks for the positive comments Jan. Thanks for the history George it's nice to know for when I do the full pen and ink drawing. Ps it's one R in Bari as in the Italian town, and that's a long story.
