Lovely painting and very touching. However, zoo's make me want to weep as those proud lions should be prowling on the plains in Africa not huddled in some cold concrete zoo. However, regardless of how I feel about that, I think your painting is sensitive and beautifully painted.

My lions have all been wild in Africa, so these cosy , curled up fellas are quite different. Beautifully observed.

I painted this picture after a visit to Melbourne Zoo...it was cold and raining and all the lions wanted to do was snuggle up and sleep.
