Looks a lovely place to visit David. And I notice not a choppy wave in sight too! Another one of your fine detailed paintings. The flock of birds help tell the story and give great movement.

One of my favourite places to paint David as it’s at the bottom of my street. How on earth did you manage such a close up view. Did you take one of the trips out from the harbour? A lovely watercolour which has captured an unusually calm atmosphere David. Hope you managed to see plenty of puffins and seals.

Hi Carole, We took a boat trip out to the island with Puffin cruises and they took us very close, indeed. It was a lovely calm day too!

A fine watercolour David, beautiful scene.

Very good with great birds David.

You’ve done a super job of this David, it’s a great trip, I enjoyed it.

Very nice David

A watercolour I recently completed of this island off the Northumberland coast. I painted it from a photograph I took from the boat which took us out to the island to view the bird life. The island is owned by the RSPB but you are not allowed to land on the island itself.
