I painted the fighting hares from a BBC calender years ago, I finally did consider the piece 'complete' last year after adding the circles to represent movement or velocity. I had a strange dream of a lady whispering the word velocity and something about creating velocity as I saw a open field, it was so surreal and rather spooky as I could not see clearly in my dream but the voice was so loud I jump up my sleep. One day I while looking at my (old) fighting hares painting the word velocity struck me like lighting and I added the lines of movement so it looked new again! The lines are done on red foil.
