Oooh-rather lovely! Have you used fabrics in this or is it all painted?

A very attractive piece of work...though she is Japanese not Chinese l

My Japanese lady is made up of different materials. The background and face are painted with water colours, so is the hair. Her dress is made of material the I hand embroidered. The flowers and leaves I made from wire and covered with paper then painted. The hair ornaments are made from kebab sticks and the thicker one of cardboard. I finished it off with shinny artificial gems.

My name is Ann Bradshaw. I am seventy-one years old. I started painting in my late twenties to escape from my three children. I have tried all kinds of mediums and enjoyed them all. I also like looking at different people’s work, you can learn so much from viewing different artists.
