Thank you all for your nice comments. This is the first time I have post work on this site (which is a brilliant site). I have been striving to achieve a loose style in my watercolours and the throwing on of salt with gay abandon has helped in the Ballet dancer, which actually started off quite "tight".

The whole emphasis these days seems to be on loose painting as if it's a Holy Grail. If that's what you want to do then that's fine but don't feel that you are forced into it by fashion. There's absolutely nothing wrong with traditional representational painting. Off my soapbox now. This is good.And welcome to POL.
