(Very naughty, but couldn't resist that, although i hate to see dead butterflies, they are meek and timid fragile creatures anyway.) Wonderful colours, and on a technical note...your background is lovely and totally appropriate, bless his spirit.

I took some photos of this type of butterfly in my garden, a few days ago.You have caught the colours magnificently.

Beautiful painting indeed you certainly have caught the soul of this butterfly...don't they die after giving birth that means next year this butterfly's sacrifice will bring a bounty of more of the same beautiful creatures

Poor butterfly had died by the church altar - I carried him home carefully on a piece of paper and rendered him immortal!
