Wonderful postings today Anne

Try 'goo-aash' - or even 'gwaash' - both work... Yes, it's a medium that deserves more attention and support: it wasn't take very seriously in days gone by, because of its association with illustration, the poor man's oil paint, and the colours were often fugitive. Designers' gouache got a bit of a bad name: but we have artists' quality gouache now, more colours, greater lightfastness; and the awful but ubiquitous Chinese/Zinc White has given way to Titanium, which adds far more body. You're clearly mastering it.

And a very pleasant one it is

I'm trying something new; Gouache. It's quite a lot of fun and I am finding it easier than watercolour. I think because I am using it a bit like oils. I'm not quite sure how you say it though!
