Foreign again!

I don't agree about the foreground - I think it is the strongest part of this painting and is really well done, Ann. Lovely feeling of sun and heat. Good distant hills as well. Great work.

Thea is right - the foreground is fine. The eye is drawn to the sunlight on the buildings which glow with the heat. The sky & distant hills are lovely too.It is a great painting!!!

Foreign again?? .....And why not? Beats a photo any day when you paint your own memories. Well done - a very nice piece of work. jx

Thanks for that, Jean. I think I have been waiting so long for the sun to come out up here that I had to find something with colour in it! (The sun HAS now arrived but there is so much work to do outside that painting will have to take a back seat for the moment!!)
