Wow you are so good at painting these what must be huge murals Amanda!, love the rich deep colours you use

These are great. I work in a school and I really think it is important to use colour and art to create a pleasant and interesting environment. Where is this? It looks familiar.

Thank you, Ros and Hazel. ~~~ Hazel, it is Kingsclere in North Hampshire. We are on the edge of the North downs - you can see the downs behind the church tower - and within a short walk of Watership Down. That famous hill is the subject of the other completed section of the mural, and the book that made it famous is the reason that there will be a rabbit in very nearly every panel (historical accuracy permitting; the primary school children may not care, but I do).

I should add that the children have been helping me colour it in :-) and perhaps, also, that my two children are at the school.

Oh I do hope that everyone loves it.. I think its great.

Sylvia, I haven't had a negative comment. The children all seem to be very keen - both to help and to have it there. Teachers have been asking me to come and do art sessions with their classes, and one did mention the word "comission". Parents and random visitors to the school are all very positive. We've been in a local paper, too.

The second part of the exterior mural on the school, showing our village centre. I forgot to post it; it's been done a while. Not sure if the floral panels will get done before winter sets in - the surfaces are not prepared yet :-(
