You know it's a great combination the black and red ink. But too much red would kill it, you've got the balance just right......for me anyway.

Thank you, Fiona. As it happens, the waistcoat is red in real life - a very faded red with little red hearts on it. No doubt the Quink will fade, too...

I've had this bear since I was very small indeed, and I sewed the waistcoat for him in my teens... the drawings are all in Indian ink, with the addition of red Quink in the second version of the first.
